Ruminations About Culmination

Attention 5th grade parents!  Culmination 2018 is here!

Save the date:  June 6th, 2018 at 9am.
Free Book Swap
It’s time for the very last free BOOK SWAP!
**Last week of school – every afternoon**
What to do:
1.  Clean out books you’ve finished and no longer want.
2.  Bring them to school.
          Readable condition, please.
We always need more upper grade books.
3.  We’ll put all the swap books out every afternoon.  Find something you want to read and take it home — for FREE!
YES, everyone is welcome.  You do NOT have to bring a book to take a book…but the more books, the more kids, the better it works.
Please be considerate and don’t hog books (until the very last day).
Leftovers will be donated to charity.
That’s it!  See you at the swap!

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream…Thank you!

A big thank you to the following people who helped out with selling ice cream on Fridays:
Angel Rabbie – Ice Cream Friday committee chair
Bita Alishahi
Raha Akhavan
Hediyeh Jensen

Kids with Character – Handmade Necklace Fundraiser
These beautiful, handmade necklaces will be on sale this Monday morning, May 21st.
Every necklace was created by Warner student ambassadors who are participating in Warner’s Kids with Character.  Every dollar raised will be donated to children in hospitals.
One necklace is $5 or two for $8.
Jump Rope for Heart
Warner Ave is proud to participate in Jump Rope For Heart to raise awareness and donations for the American Heart Association. This year’s jumping event will take place during PE Classes this week.
Last year our school raised over $9,000 in lifesaving donations for the American Heart Association to help people with special hearts, and we have almost reached our goal to raise $10,000 this year! 82 students have also pledged to get more exercise, drink water instead of sugary drinks, and eat more fruits and vegetables. To take this heart health pledge and make a donation online please visit https://www2.heart.org/goto/warnerave today!
Thank you for your support!
