EFFECTS OF SCREEN TIME AND SOCIAL MEDIA ON YOUNG BRAINS
Dr. Tavyev Asher is a Board Certified Child Neurologist who has served as Director of the Division of Child Neurology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles since 2010. She will be discussing the effects of screens on the developing brain, as well as alternative activities that actually strengthen brain development. She will present a practical approach for how we can work as a community to maximize our children’s potential and minimize the damage screen time has on their growing brain, as well as discuss the risks associated with adolescent social media use, including anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm, cyberbullying and more.
