Kindergarten Parents!
Join us in the Banooni Auditorium for the Kindergarten Orientation immediately following drop off on the first day of school! Meet the Principal and Warner parents. Coffee and refreshments will be served!

Warner Avenue Elementary opened its doors in 1926, almost 90 years ago, and has been providing its students and their families with a warm and academically challenging elementary school experience ever since.

Welcome to the 2016-2017 School Year! Bring it on!

School starts promptly at 8:20am. Please arrive early to allow plenty of time to find parking.

Welcome Back to School Warner Families!
School will open on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. The warning bell rings at 8:15am indicating that students should go line up. Teachers pick up students at 8:20am promptly. Please say goodbye to your child on the yard at the pick-up line. Teachers must give their full attention to students as they begin the instructional day at 8:20am. Everyone must exit immediately in order to secure the campus.
The first day of school is a Tuesday and that means it is an early release day, 1:43pm. Every Tuesday, students are released at 1:43pm. Exit gates open at 1:43pm or 2:43pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
IMPORTANT
The campus grounds are under construction. The construction is scheduled to be completed August 30, 2016. We are well prepared and resourced to manage school access through the construction period.
**The front gates on Holmby Avenue are NOT OPEN**
Entry/Exit gates are on Warner Avenue and Woodruff Avenue. Morning carpool will be available at both gates.
When using the carpool lanes, have your child’s backpack ready in the front or back seat, not in the trunk. Parents may not exit the car while using the carpool lane.
BE CAREFUL AND STOP FOR ALL PEDESTRIANS. Our children are more precious than time!

Crayola mini twistable crayons (24 pack)
Small glue sticks (10 for the year)
Pentel Hi-Polymer white erasers
Unscented baby wipes

2nd Grade Supplies Request

For use at school

Yellow highlighters (narrow)

For home use (to complete homework)

Pencils: #2, and colored

Crayons

Tape, glue stick, and/or stapler

Pencil sharpener (at home only)

3rd Grade Supplies Request

Homework folder (no binders) 

1 small package of glue sticks (3-4 sticks per pack) *no purple glue

1 eraser

4th Grade Supplies Request

12 pack mini twistable crayons (Crayola makes them as well as a Staples brand) OR 1 pkg. colored pencils

2 #2 pencils (mechanical are fine)

1 pair of student scissors

1” white binder with clear front sleeve

2 black erasable pens

1 yellow highlighter

Ruler

1 glue stick

Folders: Yellow, Green, and Blue

Also, these items will remain in the classroom throughout the year and will not be taken home (to avoid forgetting the supplies each day). We recommend having a second set of supplies listed below at home.
